The folks at The Old Bridge Society say that they are a little museum with a lot of stories. Many interesting persons and events shaped our area history.
On The Old Bridge Society walks you’ll hear some of their stories. The walk includes an entertaining mix of history, legend, and lore spanning early Native Americans, the Golden Age of Pirates, the Revolution, Civil War, WWII, the founding of Sunset Beach and more, right up to modern times.
They are now offering our popular History Walks by appointment. The walk is approximately 90 minutes and we will provide a chilled bottle of water for each guest.
Call them at 910-363-6585 to reserve a time. They need at least 48 hours notice to schedule your walk, subject of course to availability and weather permitting.
Generally, they schedule walks in the morning but as the weather gets cooler, we can be more flexible with the time. We limit the walks to 10 persons for everyone’s enjoyment.
We suggest a donation of $5.00 per person (children under 12 free). We hope to see you soon!
