Those seeking an explanation of the theory of light can enjoy Travelers of Light, a new planetarium dome film that recreates the most important events and theories in the history of light. Hosted by great scientific minds including Alhazen, Albert Einstein, and others, the film brings audiences on a journey through humanity’s quest to understand light itself.
With educational films that inspire curiosity and spectacular laser music shows that create out-of-this-world memories, Ingram Planetarium has something for visitors of all ages. Here’s a look at the Planetarium’s schedule through Oct. 31.
Dome Theater Shows
Every Thursday through Saturday, explore the human brain, journey to the farthest reaches of space, or discover the stars you’ll see in your own backyard in our immersive theater. Doors open at 10:30 a.m.

- 2 p.m. — Messengers of Time and Space: Learn how the Gemini Observatory and other leading telescopes work together to observe the ever-changing wonders of the night sky.
- 3 p.m. — The Sky Tonight!: Tour the planets, constellations, and other celestial events happening in the night sky above our community. Next time you walk along the beach on a clear night, you’ll be able to identify the celestial sights you see.

Every Friday and Saturday evening, enjoy a unique and memorable sensory experience with laser effects accompanied by popular music heard through the area’s best sound system. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

6 p.m. — Laser Floyd: The Wall: Pink Floyd’s classic 1979 epic about personal struggle weaves its story into one of the most popular laser shows ever produced. This is a laser experience you won’t want to miss. - 7 p.m. — Fright Light: Celebrate spooky season with a show for the entire family featuring popular Halloween-themed music set to laser lights. Enjoy pop and rock tracks along with horror movie medleys and more.
Saturday
6 p.m. — Laser Party: Relive the viral musical hits of the 2010s, featuring songs from Katy Perry, Imagine Dragons, the Black Eyed Peas, and more. An upbeat, high-energy show that blends 2010s trends with stunning laser effects for the ultimate tween vibes. - 7 p.m. — Laser Queen: An immersive music experience set to tracks like “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Under Pressure,” and “Another One Bites the Dust.”
