Sunset Beach Artist Christine Brubaker won 1st Place in the Waterway Art Association’s annual Art Show!
Each year, the Waterway Art Association has it’s spring show of works by members and non-member area artists where works are on display and for sale for one week. This year was the 32nd annual Spring Show which was held at the Sunset River Gallery, located in Calabash.
Sunset Beach Artist Christine Brubaker shares her love and appreciation of the area that inspires her to capture the beauty through her paintings. Cinnabar Artistry was started by Christine Brubaker and her husband to sell her paintings and prints, and commission work.
Christine paints mostly landscape scenes of places she sees that bring her joy and peace.
Recently, after visiting a Chihuly glass art exhibit, she was inspired to paint some of the glass art display pieces and discovered a love of painting abstract art from life scenes.
Christine started painting at an early age and loves oil painting. She went on to enjoy a career in commercial art and then to teach elementary and middle school where she shared her love of painting with her students.
Christine now spends most of her time oil painting.
