Ginny and Bill Bollman of Sea Trail generously donated their large collection of art featuring the Sunset Beach Bridge to OBPS. The Art of the Old Bridge will present for auction a select number of framed and matted prints and photographs of the Old Bridge.
Like so many other Sunset Beach residents, Ginny and Bill vacationed in Sunset Beach for many years before making it their permanent home upon retirement. Each time the Bollmans visited they collected prints of one of their favorite Sunset Beach landmarks, the quaint one-lane swing pontoon bridge. In addition, Bill is an avid photographer and captured one-of-a-kind views of the bridge. They amassed an extensive collection of different perspectives of the Sunset Beach Bridge. Each print and photograph is specially matted and framed, ready to hang. Select pieces of their collection will be displayed and available to be bid on during the live auction. All proceeds from ticket sales and the auction go to OBPS to help them continue moving toward their goal of making the Old Bridge Museum and Interpretive Center a centerpiece of the Sunset Beach community.
Please come and join us February 10 at the Backstreet Café, 1780 Chandlers Lane in Sunset Beach from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00. Delicious food and a great time are to be had by all attendees. For more information, visit the OBPS website, oldbridgepreservationsociety.org or call 910.363.6585.
