Sandbar Lecture: Turtle Talk

Enjoy an entertaining and educational presentation at the Museum of Coastal Carolina. The Sandbar Lecture Series brings local experts to speak about topics ranging from our coastal environment to Outer Banks history. Join Deb Allen, head of the Ocean Isle Beach Sea Turtle Protection Organization will discuss the types of sea turtles found in North Carolina, how turtles lay their eggs, and the important role volunteers play in sea turtle conservation. Deb will talk about the work done by the OIBSTPO and how they are preparing for this year’s turtle season, which will start in May.
