Join Sunset Beach and the Sunset Beach Business & Merchants Association September 24th for the Sunset Beach Paddle Fest.
Kayak & Paddleboard enthusiasts will enjoy the line-up of competitive and casual water activities. This year’s race includes a 9.5 mile Elite kayak and paddleboard race and a 5.5 mile open fun paddle.
It will be a fantastic day of fun competition, live music by Randy McQuaid and Ashton Stanley, delicious food, local micro-brewed beers featuring Blind Squirrel Brewery, kayak and paddle races, and a myriad of children’s activities and events. This year’s Island-Beach theme will have everyone saying Aloha. Wear your favorite Hawaiian shirt so everyone will know that you are a native!
To learn more about that day’s lineup of great activities and registered for the races, children’s custom party, lots of great food, a beer garden, entertainment, and vendors will be around for you to enjoy.
The races begin at 8am and the festival starts at 9am and goes until 5pm. The festival will take place at the new Sunset Beach Park. Admission to the festival is free! All proceeds are benefiting the Sunset Beach Turtle Watch, Paws-Ability, and the Brunswick County Homeless Coalition.
